Abacus Maths

What is Abacus Maths?
Abacus Maths is an arithmetic method based on the principles of ABACUS CALCULATION. After working on an abacus for a while, a virtual mental picture of the abacus is formed in the mind. One can use the virtual abacus to perform calculations. Abacus Maths is considered the most effective way to initiate math for young children and sharpen maths skills.

According to educational psychologist Howard Gardner, Intelligence refers to the human ability to solve problems or to make something that is valued in one or more cultures. Abacus Maths establishes a clear and logical concept of numbering for small children. The abacus mental picture training increases memory power and sharpens mental formation for a child. The speed training enables the child to gain better reflexes. In addition, the speed-hearing training encourages the child to give full attention to study by listening more attentively and effectively. Using an abacus requires coordination of the main nerves of the human body for eyes, ears, and fingers. Constant practicing on an abacus provides stimulation that enables the growth of brain cells. Studies conducted on brain development have learned that the longer the exposure to the right kind of stimulation, the more the brain grows.

The Abacus program:
- Establishes a clear logical concept of numbers and number placement
- Increases memory power and sharpens mental formation Helps the child gain better motor reflexes
- Encourages full attention to study by listening more attentively and effectively
- Requires coordination of the main nerves of the human body: eyes, ears, and fingers
- Makes the learner more confident and interested in school work, both curricular and extra-curricular

The outcome of the Abacus Maths program is brighter kids!
